Dems Quote of the Day: A classic case of projection
Barak Obama to reporters on the RNC
“[This] probably explains why last night when they were speaking, all these speakers [at the Republican National Convention] came up, you didn’t hear a single word about the economy. Not once did people mention the hardships that people are going through. I guess I don’t blame them because if you don’t have any issues to run on, you want it all to be about personality. If you have got George Bush’s track record and John McCain voting 90 percent of the time in agreement with George Bush, then you probably you don’t want to talk about issues either.”
This begs the question: did he or his handlers even read the recent BEA report? Energy costs are down, the dollar is stronger and second quarterly figures show the economy growing at an annual rate of 3.3%.
But then again, chalk it up to the Democrats to keep telling us how bad things really are.
And for the record, just in case Obama didn’t notice, voting “present” does not count as having a record. It just shows that he was there and too calculating to declare a position that might reflect something for which he might be held accountable at some later date.
And lastly, contributing nothing to a brother living in poverty sheds light on Obama’s sympathies for his own less-fortunate kinsman living in dire economic straits. So much for personal concern over “hardships that people are going through.”
But for once, I agree with the man. This election is not about personality; it’s about principle.
And in this case you have the pot calling the kettle black.

Just shouting “Present” in the Oval Office won’t veto anything.
